Tryouts
Truck Stop 2011 is captained by Sean McComb, Keven Moldenhauer, Noah Eden and Tommy Nicholson. Truck Stop is looking to build upon its 5th place finish at Club Nationals last year and have an even better season in 2011. Our goal is to be the #1 team in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and to break the upper echelons of the elite Ultimate world: to be legimate contenders at Nationals.
This year tryouts will begin the weekend of May 21-22 and will finish the weekend of June 4-5. In addition, would-be Truckers are strongly encouraged to attend “big boy” pickup on weekends beginning April 23rd. It will give everyone a chance to have a little more exposure, to get used to playing with each other, and to gradually ease back into playing shape in a less structured environment. “Big boy” is informal, held on Saturday or Sunday in the greater DC or Baltimore area.
Tryouts will focus on a variety of Ultimate-specific skill and fitness tests. Interested players should contact the 2011 captains at truckstopultimate@gmail.com with expressions of interest.
